Kurtis

Founder & Principal Engineer

Kurtis started Open Function Computers in 2006 and has been hands-on ever since. He spends his days in architecture reviews and server rooms, and is happiest when a gnarly legacy system finally bends to a clean, maintainable design. Drop him a hard problem and watch him light up. The odds are 100:1 that if you get into a meeting with him he's going to draw a flow chart of some kind.

When he's not being a nerd he's probably hanging out with the family or playing bass somewhere.

Haley

Developer

Haley is a partner at Open Function Computers and a full-stack developer with ten years of experience, six of them in Laravel. She builds and maintains large production applications, working directly with clients throughout to translate what they actually need into architecture decisions that hold up years later. Outside of work, she likes to experiment with AI development workflows and autonomous agents, including a multi-agent trading system she built on the Hermes framework to operate across prediction markets and crypto perpetuals.She is a relentless optimist about where AI is heading and what it can do for people.

Chris

Developer

Chris does site builds and maintenance, and audits many a pull request, catching code-drift and getting it back on track. He really likes talking to clients about what they did on the weekend.

On his weekends, Chris loves exploring Portland's incredible food scene, with a penchant for Tiki bars. He can be also seen on stage playing the drums in his synth pop band, who one time opened for Corey Feldman.

Victor

DevOps, IT, Cybersecurity

Victor maintains our hosting infrastructure and internal tooling, keeping things up to date and secure in a constantly evolving threat landscape, staying one step ahead of malicious actors. He is very passionate about open source, and is always on the lookout for new tools to use internally and offer to our clients.

His life outside of work is dominated by music - he is a producer, DJ, live sound engineer, synth player and front man in a darkwave band.
